Can I also call Skype users?

Teams is the same as Skype. You can, provided Encis has activated it, also use Teams to call someone who uses Skype and vice versa.

Can I use Teams in the cloud environment?

Are you using remote desktop? Video calling with Teams can NOT be done on the online environment. Because the screen is "shared" it does not give the desired performance. Also, the audio has to be brought from the data center to the local workstation, which results in loss of quality. You can, however, use the chat feature within Teams.

I've been invited to a Team or Skype meeting. Now what?

Do you have access to a Teams account and is it active? Then the meeting will also take place within the Teams business environment. How professional!

Is Teams free?

The Teams license is provided by Microsoft for free for six months. So there is no charge for this for the next six months.

Can I also invite someone to a Teams meeting outside the organization?

Yes you can. The easiest way to do this is via a meeting request in Outlook. There is a tutorial available on our service portal. You can also contact someone directly through Teams, start a meeting and then invite others. If this does not work, your organization may not yet allow external use of Teams. Ask your ICT administrator to change this.

Can I share my screen?

Yes! You can very easily share your screen with someone. This allows you to give a presentation or show what you are working on. We have made a guide how you can share your whole screen but also a part (like a Powerpoint presentation or the web browser). Close all applications not in use beforehand. This is to prevent outsiders from seeing your screen with privacy-sensitive data

I don't have teams. What now?

You can apply to Encis for the use of Teams within the company. Send an email to servicedesk@encis.nl or call our service desk.
